The resort at your doorstep
I102 at Naples Bay Resort is a two-bedroom condo inside Naples Bay Resort & Marina, at the address 985 Sandpiper Street. Resort amenities are covered by the resort fee and centered on the private Naples Bay Club. According to the resort, they include several pools and a lazy river, tennis, fitness centers, a spa and a Topgolf Swing Suite. On-site restaurants range from a marina café to waterfront dinner spots, and the marina rents boats, kayaks, paddleboards and bikes.
The resort also runs shuttles to Fifth Avenue South, Third Street South and the beach. Ask the front desk for current times and how to book. Amenities, hours and access rules are set by the resort, so confirm the details at check-in.
Fifth Avenue South
Fifth Avenue South is downtown Naples' main street. It's lined with restaurants, sidewalk cafés, galleries and boutiques, and it gets lively in the evenings, especially in season. The resort describes it as about five minutes away. Walk the avenue toward the Gulf for dinner, gelato and people-watching, and look out for street festivals and seasonal events on our local events calendar.
Third Street South
A few blocks south of Fifth Avenue, Third Street South is Naples' historic shopping district. It's a quieter, leafier mix of upscale shops, restaurants and courtyards close to the beach. It's a lovely place for a morning coffee and stroll, and it hosts a popular weekend farmers market in season.
Tin City
Just across the water from the resort on the Gordon River, Tin City is a waterfront collection of shops and seafood restaurants in a former clam-shucking and fishing-dock complex. It's known for its tin roofs and old Naples character, and many boat tours, sunset cruises and fishing charters leave from the docks there.
Beaches and the Naples Pier
Naples' public beaches run along the Gulf west of downtown. The resort puts the beaches, including Lowdermilk Park, about 15 minutes away. The famous Naples Pier was destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022 and is being rebuilt by the City of Naples. As of fall 2026 it's still closed, with the city targeting a 2027 reopening. Check the city's pier rebuild page for the latest. Beach access near the pier remains open at nearby street ends.
Parking at city beach ends is limited, so the resort's beach shuttle is often the easiest way to go. Sunsets over the Gulf are the nightly main event, so arrive early.

A relaxed day from I102
Here's one way to spend a day without moving the car. Start with coffee and breakfast by the marina, then take the resort shuttle to the beach for a morning swim while the sand is quiet. Come back for lunch by the pool and an afternoon on the lazy river, or rent a kayak or paddleboard and look for dolphins and manatees in Naples Bay. In the late afternoon, ride the shuttle to Third Street South for a browse, then head to the Gulf for sunset. Finish with dinner on Fifth Avenue South or at one of the resort's waterfront restaurants.
On a second day, rent a boat at the marina and cruise the Gordon River and Naples Bay, or run down the coast to anchor off Keewaydin Island if conditions are good.
Dining tips for downtown Naples
Downtown restaurants are busiest in winter and spring. Reserve ahead for popular spots on Fifth Avenue and Third Street, especially for sunset hours and weekends. The resort concierge can also help with local reservations. For a casual seafood lunch, Tin City and the waterfront along the Gordon River are easy picks. If you'd rather stay in, the condo's full kitchen and private lanai make a relaxed night at home easy.
Getting here and getting around
Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers is the main commercial airport for Naples. Naples Airport (APF) serves private and charter aviation and is about 10 minutes from the resort. Driving or rideshare is the easiest way to get around. The resort offers valet parking for a fee, and it doesn't allow trailers, boats or RVs in its lots.
